OBG hosted a conference on its fifth anniversary about the development of Gabon’s economy. Key note figures included Regis Immongault, Gabonese Minister of Economy of Gabon.
The discussions focused on Gabon’s development and economic diversification since 2009, when the government implemented the Strategic Plan for Emerging Gabon in order to diversify the country’s economy, especially the agriculture, mining and hospitality sectors. One of the main topics discussed during the conference was the initiatives to better exploit the growth and the development in Gabon such as the importance of foreign investment and the development of the business sector.
The participants also discussed investment opportunities issued from the diversification of the economy in terms of achievements but also in terms of challenges that the country currently faces.
