The World Investment Forum 2026 takes place at a moment when geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty are testing confidence, disrupting economies and slowing investment, with consequences that extend across the world. Rising energy, food and fertilizer prices, trade disruptions and tighter financing conditions are weighing most heavily on developing economies. At the same time, rapid technological advancement and AI are transforming our society at unprecedented speed, bringing both opportunities and challenges for the future of development.
Organized by the United Nations and hosted by the State of Qatar, the Forum reaffirms the UN’s commitment to the region, promotes investment partnerships for long-term economic growth, shapes global investment policy, and drives collective action for our shared future.
