In order to advance development at a fast pace, the government aims at attracting foreign direct investment by cutting red tape, facilitating business and operations. A platform like Marintec Indonesia, with its international conference and workshops – and international participants already confirmed from China, Korea, Italy, Spain, and Singapore – is therefore instrumental in the process.

Marintec Indonesia was established in 2014 as one of the leading exhibitions in Asia within the field of the maritime sector, to bring solutions to support the government’s long term plan by facilitating a recurrent high-quality event in Indonesia. A high-caliber conference and sharply focused exhibition provide marine industry professionals a specialised platform in the field and opportunity to meet decision makers, policy makers, influencers and researchers. 
   
The 2nd edition of Marintec Indonesia was held successfully on November 23-25, 2016, bringing together over 3,000 trade visitors from 23 countries and more than 120 exhibiting companies from 15 countries. An extensive programme of conferences, seminars and other activities were held alongside the Marintec Indonesia.
   
Marintec Indonesia will be held alongside Indonesia’s comprehensive exhibition for petroleum exploration, production and refining services and products, Oil & Gas Indonesia, on September 13-16, 2017. The offshore oil and gas industry represents a major segment of the maritime market in Indonesia, so by holding the exhibitions side-by-side, there will be significant synergies for both supplier and buyers of products and services. Also being held at the same time is the Mining Indonesia exhibition. Again, transportation of mineral resources is one of the key markets for Indonesia’s ship operators, so the co-location of these events will stimulate new interactions and business projects.
