Third Party Event

27 Jan 2019 - 30 Jan 2019

Nigeria’s petroleum industry is the largest in Africa, with proven oil and gas reserves of 37 billion barrels and 192 trillion cubic feet, respectively. The sector contributes about 10% to the country’s GDP and accounts for 95% of all exports.

Given that Nigeria’s gas reserves have remained largely untapped to date, the country is expected to make a shift towards becoming a major producer and exporter of gas in the future. With ongoing reforms in the sector and improved engagement with host communities, Nigeria is positioning herself to be the foremost oil and gas investment destination.

Therefore, the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit will be the perfect platform for the world to meet Nigeria’s oil and gas industry players. This meeting brings together key political decision-makers, government officials, directors and specialists from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and other relevant government bodies on one side with directors of national and international companies, multinational and multilateral organizations, academia and other relevant stakeholders on the other.

Under the auspices of the government of Nigeria, the second edition of the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit will take place 27-30 January, 2019 in Abuja. It is the country’s official industry event for national and international companies, as well asfor potential investors, to present new technologies and know-how in the petroleum sector.
