This year’s theme, “Realizing the Potentials of the Mining Industry in a New Regime,” will communicate the country’s long-term vision and programmes for mineral resources to the incoming administration, with the Philippine President-elect, who is expected to grace the annual event.
Topics to be covered during the three-day conference include: the global and regional outlook for mining and metals; strategies for achieving sustained and inclusive growth for the mining industry; improving relations with local governments; and the latest technologies in environmental protection and enhancement, and mine rehabilitation.
Mining Philippines 2016 International Conference and Exhibition will also feature the first Cinema Ore short video competition.
The competition will pit the creative talents of today’s youth in helping deliver the message of responsible mining in the country.
The conference will further highlight the many roles and opportunities for women in mining, while placing a spotlight on company best practices on community development, mine rehabilitation and livelihood development.
Over 1000 local and international delegates are expected to participate, while the world’s top mining executives and service managers will be on hand to showcase their latest projects, advocacies and products.
The unparalleled business and networking potentials of Mining Philippines 2016 makes it an opportunity not to be missed.
