Originally established as Saudi Arabia’s first education college for women in 1970, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) became a university in 2008. PNU’s development mirrors the broader milestones in women’s education in Saudi Arabia. Women’s higher education in the Kingdom began relatively early compared to both men’s higher education and women’s primary education.
