Organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX 2018 takes place under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and President of DEWA.
The exhibition, which is now in its 20th year, is set to bring together approximately 2000 exhibitors from 52 countries, providing a global platform for companies involved in water, energy, environment, oil & gas, and related sectors.
Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their techniques, projects, solutions, and green products, while also networking and building partnerships with international decisionmakers, buyers and investors to promote their renewable and clean energy projects in the region and across the world.
The event is also the ideal forum at which to learn more about the latest market needs, alongside current and planned industry initiatives. In addition, there will be opportunities to gain insight into key issues, such as vendor registration, prequalification, tender and purchase procedures.
Over the three days, WETEX 2018 will address important topics relating to the rapidly developing advancements and challenges in the energy, water and environment sectors, while also exploring the best green solutions and practices to address environmental challenges, as well as the latest oil & gas solutions and environmentally friendly systems, such as green buildings.
DEWA will also highlight its global achievements and key projects, including the world’s largest single-site solar park – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, which will generate 5,000 MW by 2030. Other smart initiatives and projects by DEWA to be showcased include Shams Dubai, Smart Meters and Grid, the Green Charger, DEWA’s new headquarters, named Al-Sheraa, and the Solar Decathlon Middle East.
