For the fourth year in a row, the Mediterranean city of Alexandria is hosting the Techne Summit, an annual international entrepreneurship and technology event that will take place on the 29th and 30th of September 2018 in the monumental Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, Egypt.
Techne Summit, with its slogan “Technology-Innovation-Talent.”, gathers global players in the technology industry for a two-day summit that includes talks, panel discussions, workshops, competitions and an exhibition. The event brings together industry speakers, technology businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups, investors, users and media representatives from around the world. Among the benefits of attending and participating in the two-day summit is knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, panel discussions, 1-to-1 meetings, fund raising possibilities, international educational opportunities and start-up competitions.
Techne Summit has extended across the Mediterranean to the Adriatic, where Techne Summit Dubrovnik took place in Croatia in May 2017 and was supported by Her Excellency the President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.
Last year, Techne Summit 2017 was attended by more than 4,000 attendees, 102 speakers, 60 investors, 160 start-ups and 52 partners from 22 different countries, bringing together the key players in the tech industry at Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Techne Summit 2017 was structured into different tracks to make it easy for attendees to follow what they were most interested in. The tracks were E-Commerce, Fintech, Marketing and Media Technology, Investment, Start-up Academy, Tech Disruption, Sharing Economy and the Empowerment of Women. Each track included expert talks and panel discussions where speakers, panelists and moderators shed light on valuable perceptions and key industry trends.
