SAHIC is aimed at promoting hotel, tourism and related real-estate projects in South America, and has become a traditional event in the annual calendar, reinvented year after year.
Held in a different city of the region each year, the latest edition of SAHIC will take place in the city of Bogota and is expected to host over 450 participants from 30 countries around the world.
Thorsten Kirschke, President, Americas of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group will host a special session as keynote speaker this year. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear first-hand his opinion on the development of new projects in the region plus the analysis of scenarios and challenges in the continent. Kirschke’s session will take place on Tuesday, September 24 at 9:15am.
“SAHIC is the conference to set industry trends and engage with potential partners and investors in order to build strategic alliances that enhance business opportunities in the tourism sector”, said Arturo Garcia Rosa, Chairman of HVS South America and President of SAHIC. “This year, Bogota will be a real home for SAHIC and a true star in terms of the participants’ increasing involvement and interest to know where, how and with whom to do business in the region”.
SAHIC is presenting a new showcasing and networking platform designed to connect investors with projects: “20/20 Showcase your Project”. This platform is aimed at showcasing and submitting innovative ideas and appealing projects to be developed in different destinations throughout the region and facilitating communication between opportunities and interested investors. As a sneak peak of the sessions that SAHIC will feature this year, the “Hospitality Industry Global Behavior” session contains an overview of what happened the last 12 months in the Hotel and Tourism global market. “The South American highlights” session focuses on Peru, Argentina, Chile & Ecuador, analysing which are the hot spots, what markets are expected to experience growth and tips from experts on how to invest in these markets.
