The event has established itself as one of the largest mining events in West Africa and is the only mining event supported by the Senegalese government dedicated to expanding the country’s mining sector. While waiting for the 6 th edition, we organised SIM Senegal Virtual Summit in January 2021, gathering 384 participants, 8 sponsors, 40 exhibitors, 31 speakers emanating from 29 countries online.
The opening ceremony had the special participation of the honourable Minister of Mines and Geology of Senegal, Mr. Oumar SARR. Senegal has a diverse portfolio of mineral resources, excellent port and road infrastructure, a skilled workforce, as well as being the financial hub of Francophone West Africa. Investing in Senegal is a sure choice. SIM Senegal 2021 will concentrate on new developments and investment for further growth and expansion of the Senegalese mining sector.
