Third Party Event

20 Sep 2020 - 22 Sep 2020

Iraq’s power grid has suffered for many generations with a dilapidated infrastructure and significant underinvestment. The power is generated in antiquated power plants and then transported to population centres, which is then distributed across to the population. The grid, currently operating at limited capacity, is at the top of the government’s regenerative programme. Coupled with a depleted oil price, searing temperatures and a global pandemic, electricity reform and new projects are ripe for private investment.

We are delighted to announce Powering Iraq, the first virtual power and energy conference on Iraq, officially co-hosted with the Ministry of Electricity and the Iraqi Government on the 20th-22nd September 2020. Powering Iraq will showcase the latest projects and tenders that are in the pipeline, focusing on key areas including transmission, distribution, storage, renewables and of course gas to power, which is being developed in conjunction with the Ministry of Oil. There is no better time to host Powering Iraq online and to support the country’s regeneration programmes.

As a digital offering, Powering Iraq, affords delegates the opportunity to tune in and watch a jam-packed 3-day agenda from across the world. Worried about time zones and travel? Fear not, as Powering Iraq will be open for one-month, welcoming leading government officials, VIPs, key stakeholders, financial institutions, and leading energy providers. Using the latest conferencing technologies, reserve key sessions from the agenda to your personalised event feed, book 1-2-1 meetings directly with over 300+ attendees and attend our online exhibition.

There is no other event like Powering Iraq in the event calendar. We hope you join us online in September and support the rebuilding of Iraq’s power and electrical industry.
