According to a report by the investment banking advisory firm Alpen Capital, the GCC healthcare market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 12.1% up to 2020, from an estimated $40.3bn in 2015 to $71.3bn. 

With this growth comes the risk of cyberattacks, which can vary in form from financial and medical insurance fraud to attacks on computer-controlled medical devices and accessing patient information.

MENA Cyber Health Summit, which is scheduled to take place from March 26 to 27, 2018, in Dubai, aims to to create a platform for all stakeholders to discuss cyber threats and help healthcare organisations develop a real-time response and recovery.
