To respond to the challenges faced by this important segment of the economy, Specialist-ExiCon International Group and Arabian Mehad Excellence are proud to announce the launch of the second Gulf Family Business Forum (GFBF). GFBF 2018 will take place on October 3 and 4 in Sultana Hall of the Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel in Saudi Arabia. The forum is presented in collaboration with the Federation of GCC Chambers.
GFBF 2018 is a shared effort by two of the leading event management companies in the Arab region. Founded in 1990, ExiCon International Group – part of the Specialist Group – has over 250 conferences in 15 countries as part of its portfolio. Arabian Mehad Excellence offers management consultancy, training and event management in Saudi Arabia, and has vast experience dealing with Gulf family businesses. Both companies bring the skillset and expertise needed to guarantee success of the event.
Under the theme “Stability, Endurance and Growth”, GFBF 2018 will address the economic, legal, financial and governance challenges facing family businesses in the GCC; present and explore surveys and lessons learned; share best practices; strengthen ties between Gulf family businesses; provide consultation opportunities with qualified experts; and call for the establishment of a unified Gulf Center for Family Businesses. Focused thematic sessions, case studies on succession planning and business diversification, and an open discussion on the future of family businesses in the Gulf region await this October. B2B consulting and mixed-generation counseling are also on the event’s agenda to ensure the optimization of Gulf family businesses.
The forum’s exhibition portion, the Consultancy Fair, will provide consulting firms with the chance to introduce their corporate strategies and achievements. It will also give family business owners the opportunity to compare and choose among leading consultancy firms based on the area of expertise their business needs.
In addition to the forum’s normal proceedings, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Family Business Excellence Awards. The winners of four award categories will be announced at the GFBF’s gala dinner, which will be attended by government representatives, investors and leading professionals in the sector.
