The Joint Foreign Chambers of the Philippines will host its Ninth Arangkada Philippines Forum virtually on December 1-3, 2020. The theme for this year is “Foreign Investment in the Post-Pandemic Philippines”.

At a time of unprecedented change due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s forum will focus on identifying key changes in the landscape of foreign investment in the Asian region, altered challenges and opportunities for the Philippines, and future policy directions. Speakers and panelists will discuss: (1) Picturing the New Normal in the Philippines and Asia, (2) Strong Growth Sectors: BPO, Creative Industries, Manufacturing, (3) Weak Growth Sectors: Agribusiness, Mining, Tourism, (4) Infrastructure: Running in Place? (5) How Should the Philippines Compete Better, and (6) Legislative Priorities for the Post-Pandemic Philippines.

Aside from the speeches and panels, there will also be breakout sessions with speakers from various industries during lunch breaks.

Every year, the forum provides a platform bringing together over 500 business persons, industry experts, investors, diplomats, government officials, and media.

JFC advocacy efforts have contributed significantly to the large increase in foreign direct investment and strong economic growth in the Philippines in recent years. With the upcoming forum, the JFC continues its long-standing contribution to policy discussion leading to stronger economic growth and job creation.
