Following the AmCham Africa forum organized at the initiative of AmCham Morocco and sponsored by Attijariwafa Bank and Citibank Maghreb in November 2014 in Marrakech, the American Chamber of Commerce in Morocco (AmCham Morocco) formally announced the formation of the AmCham North & West Africa (AmCham NWA) Network bringing together AmChams in the region to bridge ties between these countries and the U.S.. The founding members which include AmCham Algeria, AmCham Cameroon, AmCham Democratic Republic of Congo, AmCham Ivory Coast, AmCham Gambia, AmCham Ghana, AmCham Morocco, AmCham Senegal, and AmCham Tunisia will meet in Morocco on December 3-5, 2015 to discuss areas of cooperation.
During their stay members will visit several industrial and commercial platforms including the Tangier Free Zone, Tangier Med, Nouacer Technopole, and the Casablanca Finance City.
AmCham Morocco will be hosting the business tour and will seize the opportunity to introduce network members to key industrial platforms and sectorial initiatives which have drawn U.S. investment to Morocco in the aeronautics, automotive, renewable energy and offshoring sectors among others. Similar visits to other member countries to build B2B ties and to better understand opportunities in the region are expected to follow.
This gathering will be celebrated by a gala ball on the theme: “This is Africa” on Saturday, December 5th , 2015 at the Four Seasons Casablanca.
