The seventh edition of the Africa Power Forum will take place on the 10th and 11th of October 2013 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Driven by the success of the previous editions in Tunis, Dakar and Marrakech, APF has established a reputation as a not-to-be missed event for the electric power community in Africa. The 2013 edition will be organized in Abidjan, the emerging economic hub not only for the West Africa region but for the whole African continent.

APF 2013 will bring together more than 200 delegates and will focus, through panel sessions and keynote speeches hosted by over 20 renowned international speakers, on crucial issues related to the development of this fast growing sector.

Some of the subjects to be addressed during the conference include energy planning and the future role of public utilities; reinforcement of production capacities, institutional and legal framework, projects financing and good governance, along with the challenges of rural electrification and the emergence of renewable energies in Africa. A number of workshops are scheduled and will focus on the more practical and technical aspects of electric power.
