In an interview with BBC World News on Thursday, December 13, Oliver Cornock, OBG’s Global Editor-in-Chief, analysed and shared his insights on the agreement that was reached at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (or COP28) which was recently held in Dubai, UAE. Oliver spoke about the balance hydrocarbon exporting countries sought to achieve while also meeting emission reduction goals. The conclusion was that this is both a historic agreement and also a compromise, one that nonetheless represented positive forward momentum in the crusade against fossil fuels and climate change.
