Mexico’s Interoceanic Corridor and the Texistepec industrial complex are emerging as key development hubs connecting the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans and as centres of international transport and trade. The corridor, which spans 300 km and links two of the country’s main ports, offers significant opportunities for economic development in the less-developed southern and south-eastern regions of Mexico.

This report, produced in collaboration with MexStrategy, explores the industrial investment landscape of the corridor with a case study focused on the Texistepec industrial complex, developed by the company ProIstmo, highlighting its role in stimulating job creation and infrastructure development alongside the other nine complexes along the corridor. Focusing on logistical efficiency, infrastructure projects, and socioeconomic impact, the report outlines the corridor’s potential to attract $50bn in investments and generate 500,000 direct jobs by 2050.
