Saudi Arabia’s media sector is entering a period of sustained expansion, supported by regulation, rising consumer demand and targeted investment. This report, produced in partnership with Gmedia, evaluates opportunities across five strategic segments: video, audio, publishing and digital media, gaming and e-sports, and advertising and marketing.

The sector’s GDP contribution is forecast to rise from SR16bn ($4.3bn) in 2024 to SR47bn ($12.5bn) by 2030, driven by digital adoption, infrastructure development and a young, highly connected population. Investment prospects span content production, studio and event infrastructure, distribution platforms, and data-driven monetisation models. Ongoing efforts to simplify licensing procedures, strengthen intellectual property (IP) protection and modernise frameworks are helping to enhance transparency and predictability for investors.

The report highlights opportunities for operators to invest in talent development, early-stage capital and local content capacity – thereby helping to build new capabilities aligned with national objectives. It also offers an assessment of growth drivers, regulatory developments and value-chain opportunities as Saudi media continues to expand alongside the Kingdom’s broader transformation.
