This black-tie gala event will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur ballroom, where around 300 senior industry figures will gather to recognise the achievements of their peers.
Among this year’s competition categories include accolades for outstanding residential development in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Iskandar, Ipoh, Melaka and Kota Kinabalu, honouring the country’s leading and up-and-coming names in property development. There will be categories for the commercial and hospitality sectors, as well as outstanding design.
“The Awards showcase a wonderful evolution of the industry from where we were 20 or 30 years ago, bringing recognition to the developers for a job well done,” said Prem Kumar, executive director of Jones Lang Wootton, and incumbent chairman of the independent judging panel.
The official shortlist of nominees in Malaysia will be revealed on 27 July during a media event, while the winners and highly commended companies will be announced at the gala dinner and awards ceremony on 17 August.

The awards night precedes the PropertyGuru Malaysia Real Estate Summit on 16 August, which will feature more than 20 expert speakers to talk about ‘Shaping the future of Malaysian real estate.’
