Oman Design & Build Week (ODBW) is the Sultanate of Oman’s leading event for the construction, building, design, and real estate sectors that facilitates business growth, knowledge transfer and wide networking opportunities. Organized under the patronage of the Oman Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, ODBW incorporates Oman Real Estate Expo (OREX) catering to the flourishing real-estate sector. With an increased investment in infrastructure, tourism, industrial, and real estate development projects through 2025, Oman’s construction industry is expected to reach an output of OMR 3,356.9 million by 2026. As part of the Five-Year Development Plan (2021-25), the government is expected to increase the spending on infrastructure from OMR10.9 billion ($28.3 billion) in 2021 to OMR11.4 billion ($29.6 billion) by 2025. The Oman Vision 2040 plan focuses on accelerating the development of the construction business, driven by the Oman real estate strategy and Oman National Spatial Strategy. Oman Design & Build Week has positioned itself as the most definitive international business platform in the Sultanate to boost further development in the sector by establishing a connection between buyers and sellers, highlighting the latest innovations, and showcasing lucrative investment opportunities available in the market.
