Jointly organized by the Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS) and PROTEMP Exhibitions and Conferences Sdn Bhd., MTE 2016 is a marketplace for inventions and ideas, bringing together cradle projects and prototypes from inventors, technocrats and designers. This is the perfect venue if you are looking for new products to commercialise, or solutions to manufacturing problems. It is the ideal venue for the public and private sectors to meet and discuss collaborations for commercialisation and research and development, and is set to attract an estimated 8,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors.

Among the highlights of MTE 2016 are its prestigious annual invention awards honoring the inventors, innovators and designers and their ideas. The Invention and Innovation Awards 2016 continues to be a platform for innovators to showcase cradle or near-term projects to the public and a targeted pool of potential investors.

The Malaysia International Design Expo & Awards 2016 will return to recognise design excellence and to showcase outstanding industrial designs from local and international designers. For young inventors, the Asian Youth Innovation Awards 2016 will help to unlock potential and provides secondary, high school, college, polytechnic students with a platform to display their inventions and gain confidence as they experience the “real-world” process of presenting their ideas.

A new concurrent event, Business Innovations 2016, is billed as “Malaysia’s Premier Business Innovation Event” and will showcase innovative technologies and services for today’s businesses.

MTE 2016 is open from 10:00 am to 6:00pm on 18-19 February 2016 (Trade Visitors only) and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on 20 February 2016 (Trade & Public).
