Dear Oxford Business Group Subscribers,
Welcome to the 5th Africa Carbon Forum, which will be held from the 3rd to the 5th of July in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
With over 750 delegates, 20 Exhibitors and 80 countries represented from Africa and around the world, the Africa Carbon Forum is one of the leading African platforms for carbon investments in energy, climate finance and clean technologies. Composed of a trade fair and a conference, it is a major place to discuss the latest development in the carbon market and how the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and other mitigation mechanisms can be successful in Africa. The Africa Carbon Forum includes matchmaking and deal facilitation sessions where carbon project developers can showcase their projects to investors and carbon buyers.
The Africa Carbon Forum brings together main actors and stakeholders from the carbon market: project owners, project developers, representatives from economic sectors, national Clean Development Mechanism offices, Investment Promotion Agencies, Designated National Authorities (DNAs), service providers, financial institutions and representatives from several multilateral agencies.
The Africa Carbon Forum is a not for profit, free event; however registration is necessary at: http://www.africacarbonforum.com/2013/english/signup.htm
