We are pleased to invite you to the 19th Nigerian Economic Summit of the NESG which is scheduled to take place from 3rd – 5th September 2013 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

This year’s Summit presents a unique opportunity for major domestic and global leaders to discuss ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s agricultural sector focused on improvements in infrastructure, agro industrial zones, financing and enabling policy environment that are critical for the full exploitation of the agricultural value chains, attainment of food security, employment generation and wealth creation.

The Summit is further intended to mobilize stakeholder understanding of opportunities within the agricultural sector as outlined in the Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA) and support for the sustainable implementation of the ATA.

The Summit is structured to include a Presidential Policy Dialogue with H.E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and other African Presidents, eminent local and global private sector leaders, captains of the agribusiness industry and several Pan-African economic institutions. Other sessions will focus on Women in Agriculture, Innovative Financing Options for Agriculture, Nurturing Nigeria’s successor generation of farmers and Nagropreneurs, Transportation and Storage, Staple Crop Processing Zones as well as Integrated Approaches to Infrastructure development in Agriculture.
