The 2012 Wharton Latin America Conference (WLAC) will be held on Saturday, March 31st at Huntsman Hall. We are working diligently to provide an outstanding conference covering the most topical business issues in our region. WLAC 2011 was a tremendous success with over 400 people attending and keynotes such as Alvaro Uribe Velez, former president of Colombia as well as the Latin America CEOs for Walmart and HSBC.
This year’s conference will feature the CEOs of the Panama Canal and Proctor & Gamble Latin America as our keynote speakers. We have prepared deep panels stacked with some of our regions thought leaders on topics such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Social Investing, Entrepreneurship and Consumer Trends. The Macro Economic Panel, the outright favorite from last year, will be making a return this year with many familiar faces. This year’s conference has had great support from our sponsors and we will be having a Networking Fair to profile the opportunities in the region to the Wharton community and our other guests. Additionally, conference participants will be able to participate in targeted breakfasts and lunches between with our keynotes and panelists.
We believe strongly in the growth and dynamism of our region and our mission is to educate our community on all the opportunities Latin America has to offer.
