Dear Oxford Business Group Subscribers,

OBG is pleased to announce its media partnership with Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), organised by the Energy Market Authority, which will be held on 27 October – 31 October 2014, at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore. Please see the below message from the organisers; for more information please visit:

The 7th annual SIEW 2014 is a platform for top policymakers, energy practitioners and commentators to discuss energy issues, strategies and solutions. Organised by the Energy Market Authority (EMA) since 2008, SIEW has developed over the years into a leading forum for discussing energy issues in Asia.

Themed “Building Energy Connections”, SIEW 2014 reflects how global and regional integration of energy networks hold the potential to positively shape our energy future, and how economies and energy markets are becoming increasingly interconnected. Key energy thought leaders set to share their insights at SIEW include:

  • Maria van der Hoeven, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA);
  • Masakazu Toyoda, Chairman and CEO of the Institute of Energy Economics Japan (IEEJ);
  • Peter Schwartz, futurist and co-founder of the Global Business Network;
  • Anthony Jude, Senior Adviser and Practice Lead (Energy) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

SIEW brings together a robust line-up of conferences, exhibitions, roundtables and networking events to provide insights and perspectives on the emerging trends and innovations across the energy spectrum. These include the Singapore Energy Summit, the Asian Energy Financial and Investment Conference, the European Union Business Avenues Clean Technologies 2014, Downstream & Petrochemical Asia, the Gas Asia Summit, RE@SIEW and Platts Top 250 Asia Awards Dinner.

SIEW 2014 will also provide a space for students and youths to share their views and perspectives on energy issues with events like ‘In Dialogue with Youth’ and the Youth Energy Showcase.
