The summit is scheduled to be held September 7, 2017 at Sheraton Hotels, Lagos, under the theme: Transforming Nigeria’s Economy Through Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has received confirmed participation from some states of the federation, research and tertiary institutions.

Kenneth Omeruo, managing director and CEO, Emerging Media and organisers of the summit said “All is set for this year’s event as innovation in health, fintech, educational technology and open innovation take centre stage. We have assembled young Nigerian innovators across these sectors, who are making the country proud through their innovative solutions as speakers and panellists.” 

Some of the 2017 speakers include: Davis Cook, CEO, Research Institute for Innovation and Sustainability (RIIS) South Africa; Muntaqa Umar-Sadiq, the 2016 World Economic Forum young global leader and CEO of Private Sector Health Alliance; Chris Uwaje, Director, Delta State Innovation Hub; Kingsley Moghalu, Tufts University Massachusetts, USA and many others.

Also speaking about the summit, Tony Ajah, the Director of Nigeria Innovation Summit (www.innovationsumit.ng), said “Expect quality presentations and workshops at this year’s summit. Davis Cook, CEO RIIS, South Africa will deliver a keynote speech that will focus on building an open innovation ecosystem in Nigeria, and connect Nigerian innovators to South Africa’s innovation ecosystem.”
