Launched in 2008 in San Francisco by 200 social innovators, sustainable business leaders and organizations THE GLOBAL SUMMIT™ provides the integral structure and organisation to unite worldwide movements working towards social justice, environmental sustainability and economic security.

Welcoming thousands of Londoners, globe-trotters and Olympic fans, THE GLOBAL SUMMIT™ 2012 will be held immediately following the Summer Olympics, August 15-17, in Europe’s new festival destination, the London Pleasure Gardens.

From August 15-17, over three days of social impact training, innovation showcases, solution councils, and cultural celebrations, The Global Summit 2012 delegates will identify shared values, discover synergies and develop initiatives to catalyze year-round collective impact.

The Future Faire – 15-17 Aug 2012:

A Celebration of Everything Sustainable, The Global Summit 2012 “Future Faire” hosts an extravaganza of art, a Sustainable Technology Showcase, interactive eco-village and discovery experiences for all. The Global Summit “Future Faire” will open to thousands of London Pleasure Garden guests starting August 15 and runs through August 16 & 17.

Art & Culture – 15-17 Aug 2012:

Live Music, Poetry, Fashion & Dance, a Film Festival, and Theatrical performances are woven through every part of the Summit. Highlights include Italian singer, dancer and cultural icon, Alessandra Belloni in an off-Broadway Masterpiece, TARANTELLA Spider Dance; Composer Richard Shulman’s epic Dream of Camelot, and DJ events with #1 World Female VJ Psyberbixie and more.

1PIE Convergence – 16-17 Aug 2012:

This hands-on solutions program of The Global Summit invites 700 sustainability innovators from across the planet working in business, media, arts, education, social investment & impact arenas. Each day begins in geodesic dome with world-renowned thought leaders unleashing new world views; followed by transformative workshops, multi-sector dialogues and opportunities for critical mass collaboration. Through 1PIE, participants gain the tools, partners and inspiration they & their communities need to thrive.
