On Wednesday 22nd June, the Middle East Association will be holding a Breakfast Briefing on ‘The Future of Oil in the Middle East and North Africa’ at Bury House, the first event of our Energy Series.

As recent events have demonstrated, oil remains hugely important to the economies of the MENA region, and its impact on other industry sectors cannot be understated. With oil prices over $100 a barrel and the real effects of the ’Arab Spring’ still unfolding, this Breakfast Briefing will prove a timely examination of the critical issues regarding the future of oil in the MENA region.

A networking breakfast will be followed by two interactive panel discussions with oil specialists from academia, industry, law and consulting. The first panel will examine opportunities and challenges in the oil market, and the second panel will assess the market, considering issues such as geopolitics, pricing, and demand.
