On Wednesday 29th June, the Middle East Association will be holding a Breakfast Briefing on ‘The Future of Gas in the Middle East and North Africa’, the second event of our energy series.

The global energy markets are transforming and this is no more the case than in the Middle East and North Africa. Accounting for around 40% of the world’s proven gas reserves and yet largely untapped, the MENA region offers great opportunities and a number of challenges. This breakfast briefing will provide key insights into the current state of the MENA gas industry and its prospects
for the future.

A networking breakfast will be followed by two interactive panel discussions with gas specialists from academia, industry and consulting. The first panel will examine the opportunities and challenges in the gas market in the MENA region, and the second panel will asses the market, considering issues such as the impact of the region on the global market, subsidies and the security of gas supply.
