Business News, the publisher and distributer of Al-Borsa newspaper as well as The Daily News Egypt newspaper, is holding its second annual energy conference Energy and Future of Investment in Egypt at the Intercontinental City Stars Hotel, Cairo, Egypt, May 25 - 2015.

The conference will be held under the patronage of the Ministries of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Electricity and Renewable Energy, Investment, Military Production as well as the Ministry of Environment. The conference will begin with an opening session in which the five ministers will be giving a speech about the challenges facing the government in providing energy and how to handle them. A large number of companies from both the private and the public sector will be also participating in the event.

The annual energy conference is timed to coincide with the serious and powerful steps that the country's taking in this sector and to announce Egypt's investment strategy in the light of the successful Economic Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh. The conference will discuss the steps Egypt has taken to meet the country's energy needs, the manufacturing opportunities related to new energy and the future of investment in renewable energy in Egypt.

The conference will further shed the light on the electricity system in Egypt, the efficiency of operating, maintenance and rationalization of consumption. It will moreover elucidate on the role of smart electricity meters in distributing energy, and that of smart networks in the efficiency of transmission, the required rules for the energy tariff from the traditional power plants to enhance the role of private sector in producing energy.
