The ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum (ESEF) 2019 will be held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra, Ghana on 22–24 October 2019.
ESEF is an annual forum that promotes the exchange of ideas and cooperation to support the acceleration of sustainable solutions aimed at implementing the ECOWAS Renewable Energy Policy and the ECOWAS Energy Efficiency Policy, which were adopted by the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government in July 2013. Two editions of ESEF have been successfully organized in Dakar, Senegal in 2017 and 2018. The theme of this third edition is “Attaining the ECOWAS Region’s Sustainable Energy Target”. It is organized by the ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and managed by Crossfield Consulting Group. The three-day event will gather ECOWAS policy makers, regional and international private sector players, and financial institutions.
The program will offer interesting topics for investors, developers, policymakers and regulators, academia/educators, development agencies, multilateral banks, utilities and big power users such as mining operators and manufacturers.
ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency has the support of its partners: the Austrian Development Agency, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the Global Environment Facility, the World Bank Group and the Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammenarbeit.
