The first ever International Conference for Bioenergy conceptualized by the National Biofuels Board (NBB) and the Philippine Agricultural Development and Commercial Corporation (PADCC) together with the Department of Energy.
As a member of the National Biofuels Board - Technical Working Group, PADCC takes charge of the implementation of DA Biofuel Feedstock Program which ensures the availability of locally produced biofuel crops by promoting and facilitating investments in the country 's blooming biofuel and biomass industry.

This landmark conference will provide the key industry players in Asia and across the globe to information and directions on the wealth of opportunities in the Philippines for both the international and domestic bioenergy markets. This gathering aims to assemble the bioenergy industry players, from the different local and international experts in renewable energy sector, government, academe, members of agricultural community, sustainable environment advocates, financiers, technology providers, and producers and manufacturers, to discuss issues on research and development, emphasizing the state of industry in economically viable and environmentally sustainable production and utilization of biofuels and biomass supply. It is a venue where the bright minds of the players from different fields will meet and will create a unified stand in promoting and striving for a cleaner technology in energy production. A platform of knowledge among stakeholders can be created through the following objectives:

    a.) Gather data and information on lessons learned and best practices on biofuels and biomass production, utilization, sustainability and other economic issues;

    b.) Identify the opportunities and challenges for major feedstocks and sources of biofuels and biomass production and move towards the appropriate business discussion;

    c.) Secure valuable information on the critical aspects of the Philippine bioenergy industry such as but not limited to integrated technologies, land availability and utilization, and financing; and

    d.) Move towards investments in the bioenergy industry in the Philippines.

The conference aims to attract interested audience around the globe, mainly scientific experts from the government, academe, agricultural community, and both local and foreign alternative fuels industry. Plant builders, financiers, consultants, marketers and producers are also expected to be part of the delegation since they play a significant role in the booming biofuels industry.
